Year 2010

 The Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic awarded the following employees of the WRI staff for their exceptional work and results of long-lasting contribution to the protection of environment:

Year 2009

 On 3.-4.10.2009, International Congress on Information Technology and Public Administration was held in the Crowne Plaza Bratislava - ITAPA 2009 where the WRI with its competitive project "Recording  of chemical agents and hazardous wastes on a barcode" won honourable award in the category of Improving Processes - "IT economically and efficiently".

 The Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic awarded the following employees of the WRI staff for their exceptional work and results of long-lasting contribution to the protection of environment:

Year 2008

 According to § 10 paragraph 6 of  131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education as amended with effect as from 1 June 2008 RNDr. Stefan Rehak, was awarded scientific degree "PhD" for a course of study 6.1.11 Landscapers.
Topic of habilitation: Landscape ecological integrated catchment management.
Place and date of habilitation: Horticulture and Landscape Engineering, Slovak Agricultural University in Nitra, on 3 April 2008. 
Other awards he received:
- Commemorative Medal for the development of the Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering SAU in Nitra
- Commemorative Medal for the FAO aquaculture development in Slovakia
- Honorable Mention Institute of Hydrology, Slovak Academy of Sciences

 The prestigious international water exhibition AQUA Trenčín 2008 Ing. Branislav Vrana, PhD. received 2nd place in the category "technology" for the passive sampling technology for monitoring contaminants in the aquatic environment - a prototype sampler MESCA.

 On 4/12/2008 WRI was awarded a commemorative medal on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the commencement of the teaching by the dean of Engineering Faculty of the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava.
