We organise proficiency testing programmes in the application of:

  • chemical and radiochemical methods;
  • biological methods;
  • sampling methods.

Proficiency tests are evaluated anonymously, and test results are statistically evaluated in accordance with ISO 13528. Results are announced in a Final International Comparative Test Report, which includes a Certificate of Correctness certifying that the test results are correct and an annex containing the results. Any objection to the organisation, administration or evaluation of an international comparative test should be lodged in writing to the test coordinator within 30 days of the date on which the objection was raised.

Interested? Please fill in the respective application form and send it to the NRL, or contact the PT coordinator directly.

In connection with the application of chemical and radiochemical methods, we carry out the following:

  • radiochemical analysis;
  • inorganic trace analysis;
  • organic trace analysis;
  • basic physico-chemical analysis.

Water samples taken are prepared and analysed in the NRL’s accredited testing laboratory. In connection with the application of chemical methods, we determine the parameters of water quality, depending on the type of water and the purpose for which the samples are analysed. We also analyse model samples, natural samples, and enriched natural samples. For the preparation of model samples, we use commercially available certified reference materials or other reference materials. Natural water samples are selected on the basis of long-term water source monitoring.
